Deep Ulcerative Wounds: Not designed for deep ulcerative wounds, as they require specialized medical treatment.
Burns: Not suitable for severe burns (third-degree burns) or large injuries that need professional medical intervention.
Description
Povidone Iodine non-adherent wound dressing is a single use device consisting of knitted viscose fabric impregnated with ointment of Povidone Iodine 10% U.S.P. (available Iodine 1%) in inactive ingredient base of polyethylene glycol & purified water. The impregnated dressing covered between two HDPE films and packed in a glassine- poly aluminum- poly peelable heat sealed pouch.
Intended Use:
Povidone Iodine non-adherent wound dressing is designed to protect wounds from infection, it is suitable for superficial skin-loss injuries, minor burns & ulcerative wounds
Indication:

Frequency to change:
There are four conditions in which the dressing may be required to be changed:

Impaired Renal Function: Patients with impaired renal function or a history of thyroid disorders should not use these products, especially if they are or will be exposed to iodine, as they are more susceptible to changes in thyroid function.
Radio-Iodine Treatment: Avoid using before or after radio-iodine treatment until permanent healing has been achieved to prevent interference with the treatment and recovery process.
Iodine Sensitivity: Do not use on patients who are sensitive to iodine or Povidone Iodine to avoid allergic reactions and complications.
